My Top 100 Modern Games


Because people don’t get that all articles regardless of who wrote them is an opinion. I took the time to give you my top 100 games. Because IGN left out many games that were worthy of recognition I decided to give it a shot.

The Grande List of my Favorite Modern Games

1 – Gears of War (Solid Story, excellent game play, fun multiplayer)
2 – Halo 3 (A classic series that did not disappoint)
3 – Rock Band 3 (The series was fun, but 3 made it addictive)
4 – Assassin’s Creed (One game that was awesome from start to finish)
5 – Mass Effect (I love games that have choice based stories)
6 – Halo: Reach (A great side story with excellent ranking and multiplayer)
7 – Left for Dead (Instant Classic)
8 – Bayonetta (Great fun that really challenges the gamer)
9 – Red Dead Redemption (Old West at its best!)
10 – Dynasty Warriors 7 (Finally an online co-op to make Lu Bu cry)
11 – Borderlands (I loved this game, and the expansions were great)
12 – Final Fantasy XIII (A loved and hated game. I loved it)
13 – Assassin’s Creed II (They didn’t disappoint in the sequel)
14 – Gears of War 2 (Horde was a brilliant add-on)
15 – Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (What can you say bad about this game? It had to end)
16 – Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (A great sequel to AC II)
17 – Bioshock (Spooky and mysterious, Enter at own risk)
18 – Mass Effect 2 (Sequel that really wow’d me)
19 – Devil May Cry 4 (A series that shows the talent of the Japanese)
20 – Bioshock 2 (The Sequel was more intense with action around the corner)
21 – Soul Calibur IV (Fighter games have never been so good)
22 – Grand Theft Auto IV (A forgotten classic, blow the dust off of it)
23 – Left For Dead 2 (I miss Zoey!!! Great game still.)
24 – Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Ground breaking step for series)
25 – Fallout 3 (Bethseda always makes a good RPG)
26 – Fable II (A great sequel that evolved the series)
27 – Dead Space (Scary and fun all at the same time)
28 – Tales of Vesperia (By far one of the best RPG’s to hit shelves in the modern industry)
29 – Little Big Planet 2 (Very addictive game)
30 – Fable 3 (Great story that expanded the world beautifully)
31 – God of War III (Loved it!!!)
32 – Guitar Hero III (Tough game, takes some practice)
33 – Rock Band 2 (Huge improvement from the original)
34 – F.E.A.R. (Amazing game)
35 – Fallout: New Vegas (Sin city has never been rougher)
36 – L.A. Noire (A great change from GTA series)
37 – Killzone 3 (PS3 exclusive that was worth the money)
38 – Prince of Persia (Holding to it’s roots it was worth the time)
39 – Child of Eden (Ubisoft produced another great title)
40 – Brink (Unique characters and fun gameplay)
41 – Dynasty Warriors 6 (gotta love pointless killing)
42 – Unreal Tournament 3 (Long forgotten, but still fun to be had)
43 – Dragon Age II (Sequel that improved upon the foundation)
44 – Bulletstorm (Epic Games does not lack in talent and creativity)
45 – Battlefield: Bad Company (Solid fun that is a change from Call of Duty)
46 – Gran Turismo 5 (Simulator’s of the past are dead now)
47 – Alan Wake (Reminded me of Max Payne)
48 – Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (Evolving from so so, to wow wow!)
49 – F.E.A.R 3 (Can we start begging for a 4th?)
50 – Fight Night: Champion (Boxing never gets old)
51 – Castle Crashers (Ingenious game play)
52 – Dead Rising 2 (More items to use to kill those flesh hungry fella’s)
53 – Mortal Combat (Coming back from disaster is a good thing)
54 – EA Sports MMA (A good fighting game that finally helped get MMA on map)
55 – Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (Classic reborn and made better)
56 – Forza Motorsport 3 (The best to date with custom paradise)
57 – The Sims 3 (Even though life is nothing like Sim world. We still love it)
58 – Portal 2 (Offending adopted individuals one story at a time)
59 – The Orange Box (A must own)
60 – Shadow Complex (Arcade games the way they were intended)
61 – N+ (Never say you won’t die, cause in N+ it’s inevitable)
62 – Rock Band (The first of 3 to contend with Guitar hero series)
63 – Street Fighter IV (Street fighter made modern)
64 – Batman: Arkham Asylum (Batman was on life support before this)
65 – Resident Evil 5 (Finally the series came to multi-platform)
66 – Limbo (Puzzle’s made fun)
67 – Dead or Alive 4 (The first game on the next-gen consoles)
68 – Halo 3: ODST (Not their best work but still worthy)
69 – Skate (Evolved skateboard gaming)
70 – Dead Rising (Classic zombie slaying game)
71 – Dead Space 2 (Great Sequel)
72 – Forza Motorsport 2 (Customize, race, repeat. Great fun)
73 – Far Cry 2 (FPS in the jungle)
74 – Fight Night Round 4 (Long overdue)
75 – Ninja Gaiden II (Classic sneak around game)
76 – Dragon Age: Origin’s (Classic RPG style)
77 – DJ Hero 2 (Branching off of Rock Band and Guitar Hero)
78 – Vanquish (Sci-fi shooter loads of fun)
79 – Saint’s Row (GTA with a touch of the hood)
80 – NBA 2k11 (First solid NBA game)
81 – Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 (Best of the series yet)
82 – Perfect Dark Zero (A shooter that has long since become a memory)
83 – Halo Wars (Strategy meet FPS)
84 – Eternal Sonata (Childish and fun)
85 – Skate 2 (Great Sequel)
86 – Green Day Rock Band (Great choice for band exclusive)
87 – Lost Odyssey (Battle system was excellent)
88 – Skate 3 (Most recent a lot of fun)
89 – Dance Central (Help’s with weight loss)
90 – Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Worth the time to finish)
91 – Hitman: Blood Money (Excellent)
92 – The Beatles: Rock Band (Beatles back to life)
93 – The Godfather (Pure genius)
94 – Gun (Long forgotten classic)
95 – Army of Two (Solid game play)
96 – Army of Two 40th Day (Huge improvement)
97 – The Darkness (Dark and spooky)
98 – Too Human (Even though it was cheesy it was fun)
99 – Darksiders (Post-apocalyptic)
100 – Beautiful Katamari (Fun and simple)
